We are manufacturers of Hercules laboratory presses, which are used in sample preparation for analysis using X-ray fluorescence (XRF).
Press technology is a method for sample preparation in the form of a pressed pellets for analysis with X-ray fluorescence spectrometers. It is a fast and effective method for preparing powder samples for XRF analysis. For such an analysis, a laboratory bench-top press with a maximum pressure of 25 tons or 40 tons is required.
We recommend our HERCULES press as laboratory equipment. This hydraulic press is ideal for industrial laboratories for quality control of raw materials or manufactured products such as cement, as well as for scientific research. We offer table presses: manual with a pressure force of up to 25 tons (Hercules 25tm) and automatic with a pressure force of 25 tons (Hercules 25t) and 40 tons (Hercules 40t). In addition, the automatic HERCULES presses offer the possibility to adjust the pressing duration. Thanks to their high-pressure force and simple operation, our presses are used for quality control and research of various samples.
The basis for good analysis is properly prepared material. The sample should be stable as a pressed pellet (bit). For this purpose, the powdered material can be mixed with a binder such as cellulose or wax. Some samples are naturally sticky, and in such cases, aluminium cups or rings can be used to stabilize the sample. An undeniable advantage of our laboratory bench-top press is the ability to use dies (pressing tools) of different diameters - the resulting pellets can have diameters of 40 mm, 32 mm, 20 mm, or 15 mm.
We can manufacture dies for you that produce a pressed sample (pellet) with any diameter. Aluminium capsules (with straight or bevelled walls)
can be used in our XRF dies. We also have dies suitable for the use of steel rings. We offer foils with diameters of 32 mm and 40 mm for
pressing. These foils protect the sample from possible contamination of previously pressed material.
